Project description
The complex consists of 4 buildings: a lower secondary school, a technical secondary school, a laboratory building, and a sports hall together with a swimming pool. The buildings employ the latest technologies to reduce energy consumption. Five different variants of the heating hub were compared, taking into account investment and operating costs as well as usability considerations. The most favourable variant was selected, employing the following equipment to meet the heat demand: a cogeneration unit, ground-source heat pumps, hybrid solar collectors, a gas boiler, and heat recovery from wastewater.
Due to problems with the discharge of rainwater on the investment site, a water retention system was applied using green roofs and retention tanks. Surplus water will be stored and used for watering the sports field and lawns during dry periods.
